Has anyone used Hoodia for weight loss and succeeded?

i have tried diet and excercise: i did weight watchers for 6 months and lost 12 pounds. I stuck to it religiously but could not exercise and still can not because of a knee injury that keeps me from walking or doing any kind of exercise. I am not lazy or trying to lose the easy way, i just need to get the pounds off.

The pills do not work and harm you body. I know you don’t want to here this but the only way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. I do know this cause I am doing that myself.
Coach
I tried it, it didn’t suppress my appetite at all
Hoodia is really too new to know how safe and effective it will be in the long run. Weight loss drugs period, not just Hoodia. Remember Phen/phen? Everyone thought that was a miracle worker, but after time, it became evident how damaging it really was. Another problem with weight loss pills and drugs is that they are only temporary. They may get the weight off, but once you stop taking them, the weight comes back, and usually more than you started with.
I suggest you try to lost the weight naturally. In order to lose weight in the long run, you need to change your whole lifestyle. If you’re the type of person who only eats donuts and pizza and regular sodas and burgers, etc., then no matter which diet drug you take, the weight will come back unless you change what you eat and your activity level.
Why not try what I’m doing? The weight comes off very slow, but in the long run it will stay off.
week 1: for every carbonated beverage I drink, I have to drink it’s equivalent in water (ex: I drink 20 oz of diet coke then I drink 20 oz of water, I drink 12 oz. of sprite then drink 12 oz of water) and this water is in addition to what you already drink
week 2: I add 10 extra minutes of physical activity per day (for me that is walking on the treadmill and then some light yoga and stretching
week 3: I add one vegetable into my eating plan a day (ex: I normally would eat soup, a sandwhich, and 1 serving of baked lays for lunch, but not I also had raw carrots day, maybe some raw broccoli or cauliflower another day. Maybe another day I add a serving of green beans for dinner, etc.)
week 4: 1 replace 1 beverage a day with water. (ex: I normally would have a couple glasses of sweet tea a day, so I replace 1 glass with water, or say I normally drink 3 cans of diet pepsi a day and I replace 1 can with water)
So now, after a month, I’ve made 4 lifestyle changes that ultimately will help not only to lose weight, but be healthier. First, I’m increasing my water, which helps with weight loss (see source), next I’m adding vegetables, I’m also decreasing non-water beverages (which some of them may not hurt your weight, but they can potentially cause other problems, especially carbonated beverages), and lastly I’m also adding more physical activity.
Just because I’m making changes once a week doesn’t mean you have to, you could could make 1 change a DAY and that would mean quicker results, but going slower to make sure I get in the habit before moving on and also to not overwhelm my body with changes, which experience has shown me will just set me up for failure if I try too much too soon.
Good luck!
I tried 100% Hoodia and……
Hoodia has worked for me…and with no side effects.
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
For all you doubters, here is the prior feedback for another Answers user who followed my advice:

**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF —
#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia…look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!
#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!
#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!
Hoodia (HOOD-ee-uh) gordonii – A genus of 10 to 20 species from southwestern Africa.
Hoodia gordonii is the stoneage wonder plant found throughout the dry arid regions of the South western African continent now on the verge of making history in the fight against obesity. It is a genus belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family which consists of approximately 20 species. Used to stop hunger, quench thirst, and provide energy among other things since prehistoric times, Hoodia gordonii was first discovered by the San tribesmen and women to get through the most difficult of times.
